MobiusX Posted March 24, 2022 ID:1508396 Share Posted March 24, 2022 I been using purevpn for a while now, but only until recently I been getting a notification nonstop about a potential riskware from the same IP address which I don't have it right now. I did factory reset, but then when I downloaded PureVPN it showed up again. PureVPN customer service said it's them and that I have to exclude their program, ptoserver.com, or the .exe file. They didn't explain why it just started happening? Is it safe to exclude them? Is there a way to just block that IP address so I don't have to keep getting notified every few minutes? Could you post the log showing the block. I am moving this to the web forum to see if the IP still warrants the block. You can find Scan and Protection logs within the Malwarebytes 4 program in the following location RTP stands for Real-Time Protection and is where automatic protection operations would normally be logged If you click on the View option you should get something similar to the following with other options available. How do I permanently block it on my own so I no longer get notifications? Also why would PureVPN send me riskware? It's them. They said it.

They are not actually sending you malware. They use the IP for the VPN traffic. All i can say to do is get a different VPN or turn off notifications so you do not see the constant popups. If you exclude it you lose protection when using the VPN. Turning off the notifications is the only way not to be bothered by the notifications and still be protected.
