I doubt very much that this is in the right forum or whatever, but I had a lot of trouble logging in and selecting a forum.

In any case, this is my problem.

Last night I received a notification that my Malwarebytes Premium software for my Windows 10 machine was due for an upgrade. I am using 4.5.2, so this upgrade is probably for whatever is next. In any case, I have not yet installed it because I was busy working and I didn't want to have to reboot. The notification is still sitting there in the lower right corner of my screen.

All of that is normal and unexpected. What is not is the following.

I was working in the Classic Editor on WordPress in my browser (Firefox) and I suddenly found the following html at the bottom of the page I was working on:

<div id="malwarebytes-root"></div>
<div id="malwarebytes-root"></div>

I'm pretty sure I didn't type it or paste it in. It just showed up. They are <div> elements without any style attributes, just an id. I can type text into them and they show up appropriately on the page when published

I am puzzled, enough to report it and ask about it. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

This looks like a bug with Browser Guard. It is what we use to display notifications, but it shouldn't be leaving those artifacts.

What version of Browser Guard and Firefox are you running?
We will get in a bug report to fix this.
