New Laptop: Win 11 Home...Local user NOT a signed in Microsoft account

Recommended Posts

Long-time Malwarebytes user here.

I have a new Win 11 home laptop (I still have my Vista desktop, but at least new laptop says there's hope for me 😉.)

BUT, as title says I plan on using laptop as a LOCAL account as opposed to MS's wish for me to always run as a signed in Microsoft account user (Why?  I'm old school and sense spying or other MS shenanigans).

QUESTION: Will my local account use cause Malwarebytes any problems? Apologies if this question is idiotic.

PS: I first plan on uninstalling my trial period of McAfee LiveSafe first, before I would do a Malwarebytes install.

Thanks for any help! I'd really appreciate it!

You will not have any issues. I do not use or advocate for the Microsoft Cloud account either. Malwarebytes will work without issue using local accounts.

As for McAfee I'd suggest you do more research. If you're going to pay for Malwarebytes Premium it will run better and protect better using the builtin Windows Defender alongside Malwarebytes Premium

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns @DoctorZaius

Cheers
