Have Malwarebytes Premium installed?

Every time I open my computer, and occasionally a website I receive this message:

"Have Malwarebytes Premium installed?

Give Malwarebytes Browser Guard permission to manage blocked website warnings for Premium."

Of course, I repeatedly select "Yes, "and then it happens the next time i open something!  presumably when I select "yes," something that is supposed to happen that is not happening.  Suggestions?

Either I have such an extension or not. I do not know.

However, If i have it, my replying yes to question should eliminate repeated messages.  If I say no, that should eliminate the problem.  Neither has solved the problem

If I don't have the extension, why am I being bothered with the question in the first place?

I also want it noted that per the instruction I received in response to my posting, i ran Malwarebytes' POS repair program and lost all of my saved passwords. I am not a happy camper.  My experience for years with this outfit has been horrible.

We did not ask you to run the repair tool. The Malwarebytes program itself has nothing at all to do with your issue.

You never stated what Browser you are using so we can give you the proper instructions to correct this.

The prompt continues to appear until you choose to opt in or out of this feature. Upon integration, all sites added to the Allow list through Browser Guard automatically copy to the Malwarebytes for Windows Allow list. Ensure that you're using the most recent version of Malwarebytes for Windows and Browser Guard to enable this setting.

To manage this setting in Malwarebytes Browser Guard:
1. Click the Malwarebytes Browser Guard extension on your Chrome or Firefox browser.
2. Click the Settings image.png.3e435ea5c4c20bf484864fcd6ba06e5d.png icon on the top right corner.
3. Use the Hide duplicate warnings toggle to manage the notifications.

"Somebody" did ( I am fairly certain it was an automated response from Malwarebytes).  I received a page of instructions that included running the repair tool.  Like a dummy I complied, much to my present consternation!

I tried "YES" many times with NO effect.  I finally tried "No" and have not seen it since.

You posted a Browser Guard issue in the wrong place. We have 2 dedicated sections for issues. With out knowing which browser I cant move your post to the "correct" section.

I remain apoplectic over the fact that Malwarebytes so-called "REPAIR TOOL" badly screwed up my system without warning me that it could happen.  Had I known that it would wipe out hundreds of saved passwords, I would never have run  it.  Additionally, I have since had to restart my system a number of times and run a true repair tool that i have confidence in to correct some of the abominable consequences of the"TOOL"  I have now concluded that there is no way recover my passwords. That is on Malwarebytes.  So how is Malwarebytes going make this right???  Huh???

Forgive me trying to get info to assist but you still have not said WHAT browser.

The interface is slightly different in each browser.

I am running Firefox with Google as the search engine.  Hope that is responsive.  Forgive me for my being more appreciative of your efforts. Frankly, I did not think it mattered with this problem.

In all these years I have never see or heard of it messing with any browser. I have personally run it on many computers.

Hello @Mr_Ree

I'm sorry you're having some type of issue with what appears to be Malwarebytes Browser Guard

Browser Guard is a Web browser extension that helps to block various Ads and other undesirable content. It is not mandatory that  you use it and can uninstall if if you like, though I believe it is a good extension to use.

Can you please explain a bit more in detail what issue or concern you're having so that I can try to assist you.

Thank you

Hi, just posted this :

It is the same as OP's issue.     When ever turn on system/s  and while am browsing in Firefox 97.0  Browser Guard ver 2.3.17 and a previous version maybe if it is the case of updating and having to re-ask permissions.  Not sure on that but it is a permission nag with several times a night while browsing and at start up.
