Hello @DMode

I would suggest you do a System Restore via  Recovery Mode

The log shows there is a recovery restore point that is very recent

Restore point date: 2022-02-01 23:49

I'm afraid I've exhausted all my options already. I did try System Restore, which didn't work. The first attempt said there was something wrong with the C Drive, but the second attempt went through, but it was still a black screen afterwards. Then i tried going into Safe Mode, but that's also just a black screen. Then my last resort was a Reset of my PC, which still did not work. It's just a black screen, and none of the Windows key functions work either.

When I checked the forums, that's when I heard about Farbar, so I decided to give that a try.

Okay, but the system is working in Recovery Mode so the physical screen works. You can get into the BIOS so that works too. It's just Windows itself that is creating, having the black screen in NORMAL Mode?

Does it have a black screen in Safe Mode?

So only the Recovery Mode is currently working?

Please run the Farbar scanner again, but this time make sure you also get the Addition.txt log

Yes, the black screen is there in Safe Made, with none of the Windows key functions working still. The taskbar does not show for any mode either.

I ran farbar, but how come I don't see a checkbox for Additions.txt? It only gave me "List BCD" and "90 Days Files" under optional scan.

I ran disk check and attached the log of the results.

Alltechgeek, I am not the same person. 🤣 It is a black screen that I'm experiencing, not white.

Anyway, because I did a reset, there's unfortunately no restore points now... I just checked and it said there's none.

And any idea why Additions.txt isn't an option in the farbar I downloaded? The one I got was from here https://download.cnet.com/Farbar-Recovery-Scan-Tool-64-bit/3000-2086_4-77516454.html

It's due to being in Recovery Mode. It doesn't have access to the Event Logs to read them as it does in Normal Mode.

Well, at this point if a previous restore point did not work then its probably best to backup all your data to an external USB drive and then reinstall Windows

It seems not much else can be done. I can try reinstalling windows.. In my haste, I actually got a new computer because I was planning to get a new one anyway. If I can manage to fix this old one, I will just hand it over to family. I have already backed up my data.
