Browser Guard 'conflict' with Free Download Manager extension on Brave

BG version = 2.3.16.

Using FDM to download causes extension error message: " This extension failed to name the download "" because another extension (Malwarebytes Browser Guard) determined a different filename "

Requires reloading FDM extension. The same message has occurred but under BG extension with FDM named as the offending extension.

I also use both extensions on Firefox but have not experienced this problem, however I do much less large-scale downloading using FF so it may be a problem on that browser as well. Simply not noticed because FDM used much less frequently on FF.

This is a longstanding problem not solved by most recent BG update.

I have sent a problem report to the FDM development team as well.

It is a known issue (as you are aware), and I have not heard any rumblings about a fix.  The best solution I can give you is to pick FDM or BG to be enabled when you are downloading, and disable the other for the duration.  Not ideal, but it will allow you to do what you need to do.

At least the issue is known even if no projected fix.

I pretty much have already followed your suggestion keeping FDM extension disabled except for actual download times.
