Hi,

Having just upgraded to MBAM 4.5.2.157 and re-enabled Real-Time Web Protection (I like others had it off previously due to BSODs) I am now seeing the same behaviour in terms of IP address blocking of PIA,

I read the support article which basically says either stop using the application (ie. PIA) or turn Web Protection off; is it possible to have both perhaps with the program exclusion entry?

I added the executable to the allow list for all detections however that seems to have no effect.  Perhaps I am misunderstanding the purpose of this particular setting.

In any event, any advise is welcome.

Regards,

Mike.

Fully excluding would basically disable all protection of your Internet traffic, which in effect is the same thing as turning off the Web protection module.

I know we're working on a more granular method of controlling block alerts but I have no timeline as to when that would be ready. It could be a couple months or it could be a year. It all depends on various development projects.

At this time I'm not aware of a good way to prevent the alerts without turning off all alerts. In the future I'm hopeful we can pick specific programs or processes to quell the alerts.

This option should help resolve the issue but may not one hundred percent remove it.
