MBG for Chrome wants to update v2.3.16

Good morning Matt:

A MBG 2.3.16 for Chrome user, posting in a Wilders Security sub-forum, has stated that MBG v2.3.16 states "new version available" when the "Check for updates" button is selected. The user has thoughtfully documented the issue with published screenshots in their post.

Though using a Mac, I too have found the user's observation to be repeatable.

Hi @1PW,

The check for updates button is actually just to check for database updates.  It is not for product version updates.

We'll look at updating the text to make that more clear.

Note: The extension automatically checks for database updates several times each hour.  The check for updates button is really for situations where you're urgently looking for an update or you suspect updates aren't automatically loading.

@1PW the clarification to the check for updates button is included in v2.3.17 which is currently pending approval in the Chrome store.
