Avast Exploit Detected on Firefox

Recommended Posts

I was refeered to go here even though avast is the one who detected it (i have MBam free Installed)

my post from Avast (thread link)

While i was browsing suddenly an Exploit Detected popup (sadly i wasnt able to do a screenshot, and cant find any thing in notification or shield logs)
I pressed scan my pc button then avast trayIcon disappeared,
oppening avast doesnt work the trayicon will just appear for a few second then disappear again,
i did some scan no detection (malwarbytes, emisoft emergency kit, tdsskiller),

after a restart everything is okay
i also tried going back to the firefox session and nothing is detected (if curious i was browsing gimp and libgdx )

avast free version 21.11.2500 (build 21.11.6809.528)
virus def 220114-2
firefox version 96.0

Farbar Logs

So far no detection since then and everthing seems to be working and havent notice anything

also did some scan with avast, emisoft emergency kit, mbam  with no detection ( i did a Mbam FullScan no detection but i didnt finished it because of the time also attached)

Hello, Welcome to Malwarebytes.
I'm nasdaq and will be helping you.

If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps in the order listed.

To complet this fix please boot the computer in this profile.
(New Jan162022 Admin - farbar with Run as Admin)

CCleaner (HKLM\...\CCleaner) (Version: 5.88 - Piriform)
(comptuer experts no longer recommend this program)
I suggest you remove it via the Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features...

Please download the attached Fixlist.txt file to  the same folder where the Farbar tool is running from.
The location is listed in the 3rd line of the FRST.txt log you have submitted.

Run FRST and click Fix only once and wait.

The Computer will restart when the fix is completed.

It will create a log (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.

Please post the Fixlog.txt and let me know what problem persists.fixlist.txt

Looking good.

Any remaining issues?

So can I Assume everything is clear? and avast dealt whatever it detected and with your help remove whatever that wasnt removed?

( I got scared when the Avast ui didnt open and the tray icon disappear when the threat happened then everything is ok after restarting after the threat)

Im just curious whether the fixes is for remnant or is it hardening of the system??

other than that nothing Many thanks forfixing
