Website blocking- high level of FP

Hello,

I recently reinstalled Malwarebytes on 4 PC's.

On average , I get 2-3 alerts per day from Website blocking; all of them are FPs , based on Virus Total

Wanted to report the FPs but I gave up seeing the high number of FPs reports with resolution " this will be fixed on next update"

So, I uninstalled Malwarebytes and installed Trend Micro (100% on Virus Total)

Absolutely no warning for a week about accessing a malicious website.

Question: from where is getting Malwarebytes the info to compile the "black list" for websites? The source is COMPLETELY unreliable.

Hello- Who tells you these are false\positives? Another security vendor's analysis? Just because one program doesn't pick up what another does is no indication of any discrepancy in either product. A false\positive is when there has never been a threat, or a threat incorrectly identified.

We do our own research and in many cases also rely on other sources which we check as well. If you give us a list of the alerts we can check and confirm or disable any blocks.

I checked all of them on Virus Total: not even ONE was flagged by any other vendor

I also tried with TrafficLight from BitDefender; not a blip for more than 1 week.

Look on your forum , for reporting FPs; 1 in 10, maybe, is real detection, the rest of them are FPs which "will be fixed in next update"
