Malwarebytes for Android 6

I recently bought Malwarebytes for my old Nexus 5 phone running Android 6 (Marshmallow). When I went to install the download from the link they provided I got an error message saying this version of Malwarebytes was not compatible with version of Android 6 running on my phone. Unfortunately the latter versions of Android are not available for my phone. When I bought the software there was no warning of any android version limitation on their website, at least not any I could find. I emailed Malwarebytes about the problem asking them if they had a link to an older version of the program that I could download. So far I've had no response from them! Anyone know of a work around for this issue other than asking for my money back and crossing my fingers they don't ignore me like they already seem to be doing?

Did you purchase from the Google play store or the Malwarebytes site?

Well I guess they got me by the legal *******. I bought the software on the Malwarebytes site where I didn't notice this information on any of the checkout screens. Perhaps it was on some hidden webpage I needed to dig for but I had already installed Malwarebytes before in the past on Android 6 so the idea of incompatibility never even occurred to me. I'm obviously not as savvy about software installations as I should be! Any idea where I might be able to download that older compatible version because I don't think I'm going to get my money back now?

I will see if @mbam_mtbr can assist. Most of Malwarebytes staff will be off for the holidays.

As for an old version I do not have any info.

Thank you very much for helping me with this Porthos. Your contact gave me directions to a web site where I could download an older Malwarebytes .apk that was compatible with Android 6. I installed it, activated it and it's working just fine. My thanks again!
