Also try  the WMI fix  in  Repair system..   no  luck.. 😪

Please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your installation for troubleshooting:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
  • A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Thanks

Sorry I meant do the following,

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well.

Thank you

Hello @mmorais

The logs show that your version of Windows is now out of service according to Microsoft. Windows 10, version 2004 will reach the end of servicing on December 14, 2021.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/lifecycle/announcements/windows-10-version-2004-end-of-servicing

This is your current version

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 2004 19041.1348 (X64) (2020-06-14 10:59:41)

image.png

Please update your computer to the latest version of Windows 10 (currently 21H2 19044.1415)

image.png

Please visit the following Microsoft website

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Then click on the Update now button and follow the onscreen instructions to update Windows 10 to the latest version.

image.png

Once that update has been completed please restart the computer and click on the Start/Search and type in "Check for updates" and allow Windows to install All updates.

Also, please note the following based on seeing the installation of qBittorrent or other P2P software.

The logs show that the system is running one or more P2P torrenting programs.

The act of torrenting itself is not illegal. However, downloading and sharing unsanctioned copyrighted material is very much illegal, and there is always a chance of getting caught by the authorities.
Torrenting non-copyrighted material is perfectly fine and is allowed. We have seen an increase in malware being bundled with software downloads over P2P and some users have had all their data encrypted. Once encrypted it is impossible to decrypt in most cases.
Please keep in mind when sharing files that you're increasing the risk that your system might get infected. Scan all files prior to running them.

You may want to also check and see if there are any driver updates from your motherboard vendor before updating Windows.

BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. F24c 06/15/2018
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. X99-Gaming 5P

You should address these items as well

Startup: C:\Users\mj\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\AutorunsDisabled [2020-11-22] () <==== ATTENTION [zero byte File/Folder]
GroupPolicy: Restriction ? <==== ATTENTION
GroupPolicy\User: Restriction ? <==== ATTENTION
Policies: C:\ProgramData\NTUSER.pol: Restriction <==== ATTENTION

Double-check and verify you're still actually using this program

Task: {04496FD1-B6CB-489B-8433-2BCDFD795EAD} - System32\Tasks\npcapwatchdog => C:\Program Files\Npcap\CheckStatus.bat [1145 2020-12-04] () [File not signed]

Dropbox appears to have an old certificate. Downloading a new full installer and reinstalling over the top of your current installation should fix it.

You appear to have push notifications enabled in your browser. I'd recommend reading the following

Are you sure you want this enabled or allowed? Push Notifications on your browser appear to be enabled.

https://blog.malwarebytes.com/security-world/technology/2019/01/browser-push-notifications-feature-asking-abused/

Turn notifications on or off - Google Chrome

Web Push notifications in Firefox

When downloading and running our MBST Support Tool it calls out to download and run the Farbar program but your networking was unable to reach out. That indicates something is wrong with the network as it should be able to easily reach out and do that. Thousands of people a month do that.

Please review, and update the information above and update Windows 10 and once all of that has been completed then restart the computer one more time and run the Farbar program again and post back the new logs

FRST.TXT

Addition.txt

Thank you

The installation itself seems to be failing based on those logs.

Please try the following again.

Can you please do the following?

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click the CLEAN button and follow the onscreen instructions to reinstall Malwarebytes
  • NOTE: Please have patience as it can take a while to remove and reinstall. The computer will restart to complete

After the restart please do the following

  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
  • A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Thank you

Please run the following fix @mmorais

This will manually remove all of Malwarebytes software. Then we can review and look at a reinstall soon.

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop or location where you ran FRST from.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64, and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Please make sure you disable any real-time antivirus or security software before running this script. Once completed, make sure you re-enable it.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system that cannot be undone.

Run FRST or FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or wherever you ran FRST from. Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.

NOTE-1:  This fix will run a scan to check that all Microsoft operating system files are valid and not corrupt and attempt to correct any invalid files. It will also run a disk check on the restart to ensure disk integrity. Depending on the speed of your computer this fix may take 30 minutes or more.

NOTE-2: As part of this fix all temporary files will be removed. If you have any open web pages that have not been bookmarked please make sure you bookmark them now as all open applications will be automatically closed. Also, make sure you know the passwords for all websites as cookies will also be removed. The use of an external password manager is highly recommended instead of using your browser to store passwords.

NOTE-3: As part of this fix it will also reset the network to default settings including the firewall. If you have custom firewall rules you need to save please export or save them first before running this fix.

The following directories are emptied:

  • Windows Temp
  • Users Temp folders
  • Edge, IE, FF, Chrome, and Opera caches, HTML5 storages, Cookies and History
  • Recently opened files cache
  • Flash Player cache
  • Java cache
  • Steam HTML cache
  • Explorer thumbnail and icon cache
  • BITS transfer queue (qmgr*.dat files)
  • Recycle Bin

Important: items are permanently deleted. They are not moved to quarantine. If you have any questions or concerns please ask before running this fix.

The system will be rebooted after the fix has run.

fixlist.txt

Thanks
