dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 ID:145073 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Just a ponder. The reason MP's try so hard to get re-elected is that they would hate to have to make a living under the laws they've passed. Link to post
dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145074 Share Posted October 18, 2009 What a woman needs....A woman was walking down the street when she was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked her for a couple of dollars for dinner. The woman took out her bill fold, extracted ten dollars, and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some wine with it instead of dinner?""No, I had to stop drinking years ago," the homeless woman replied."Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" the woman asked."No, I don't waste time shopping," the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.""Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?" the woman asked."Are you NUTS?" replied the homeless woman. "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!""Well," said the woman, "I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my hubby and myself tonight."The homeless woman was astounded. "Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting."The woman replied, "That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and wine." Link to post

dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145077 Share Posted October 18, 2009 "Jury Duty"---------------A man was chosen for jury duty who very much wanted to be dismissed from serving. He tried every excuse he could think of but none of them worked. On the day of the trial he decided to give it one more shot. As the trial was about to begin he asked if he could approach the bench."Your Honor," he said, " I must be excused from this trial because I am prejudiced against the defendant. I took one look at the man in his blue suit with those beady eyes and that dishonest face and I said 'He's a crook! He's guilty, guilty, guilty!' So your Honor, I can not possibly stay on this jury!"With a tired annoyance, the judge replied, "Get back in the jury box. That man is his lawyer." Link to post

dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145080 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Blair was a British Prime Minister and Prescot a member of the Cabinet.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tony Blair called John Prescott into his office one day and said, 'John I have a great idea! We are going to go all out to win back Middle England'. 'Great idea Tony how will we go about it?' said Prescott.'Well' said Blair, 'we'll get ourselves one of those long Barbour coats, some proper wellies, a stick and a flat cap, oh and a Labrador. Then we'll really look the part. We'll go to a nice old country pub, in Much Something or other or one of those villages and we'll show we really enjoy the Countryside.' 'Right Oh' said Prescott. So a few days later, all kitted out and with the requisite Labrador at heel, they set off from London in a westerly direction. Eventually they arrived at just the place they were looking for (Much Piddling-in-the-Brook) and found a lovely country pub (The Surly Yokel) and, with the dog, went in and up to the bar.'Good evening Landlord may we have two pints of your best ale, from the Wood?' said Blair. 'Good evening Prime Minister' said the landlord,' two pints of best it is, coming up'.Blair and Prescott stood leaning on the bar drinking their beer and chatting, nodding now and again to those who came into the bar for a drink. The dog lay quietly at their feet. All of a sudden, the door from the adjacent bar opened and in came a grizzled old shepherd, complete with crook. He walked up to the Labrador, lifted its tail and looked underneath, shrugged his shoulders and walked back to the other bar.A few moments later, in came another old shepherd with his crook. He walked up to the dog, lifted its tail, looked underneath, scratched his head and went back to the other bar. Over the course of the next hour or so several other locals came in, lifted the dog's tail and went away looking puzzled. Eventually Blair and Prescott could stand it no longer and called the Barman over.'Tell me,' said Blair, ' why did all those old shepherds come in and look under the dog's tail like that? Is it an old custom?' 'Good Lord no,' said the barman. 'It's just that someone went and told them that there was a Labrador in this bar with two barmey idiots !?' Link to post
dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145081 Share Posted October 18, 2009 What Will Happen If South Africa Is Attacked In A 9/11 Style Attack?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well.... if that happens, there can be no comparison whatsoever. That's because in S.A we are much better prepared for these kinds of attacks.No. 1. We do not construct exaggerated elevated high-rise buildings these days; squatter camps and duplexes are the order of the day.No 2. We ALL get stuck in traffic in the morning, so at 8.45am the buildings would still be empty.No. 3. Our prestigious fire fighters and police officers will do their utmost not to get to the spot in time, and will arrive loud and clear just after everything is over, so there will be no casualties amongst them.No. 4. Johannesburg International Airport would surely have fouled up the terrorist's plans by delaying the planes.No. 5. A South African would never let a terrorist hijack a plane. He would tell him "Jou ma se @*&% ..", beat him up, rob him and the word would spread about how bad he got it, quicker than a CNN/BBC broadcast. (later, he will also be used for police dog training).No. 6. A South African would not have used his cell phone to call home ( NO WAYS ); more efficiently he will rather send a "Please call me". A cell phone is used to defend oneself. A REAL South African would have hit the terrorist over the head with it...then steal his terrorist weapons and sell it for dagga money .And Finally:If a terrorist ever lived in South Africa for one year and one year only, he would have been robbed and molested so many times that he would have given up and gone back home a long time ago...then get shot in the taxi, get robbed of his passport and credit cards, attempt to flee the gunfire, and get arrested by the cops later for vagrancy. dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145082 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Dear Abby,I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision.I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs...phone rings, but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently, although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them."I sometimes stay awake to look out for her cab coming home, but she always comes walking up the drive as I hear the sound of a car leaving, around the corner, as if she has gotten out and walked the rest of the way. Why? Maybe she wasn't in a taxi at all?I once picked up her cell phone, just to see what time it was. This caused her to go completely berserk. She quickly snatched the phone out of my hand and cursed me hysterically, screaming that I should never touch her personal property, then accused me of trying to spy on her.Anyway, I have never broached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. I decided I was going to park my Harley Davidson Lowrider next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the street around the corner when she came home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my motorcycle that I noticed a small amount of motor oil leaking through the gasket between the rear head and rocker arm cover.So... is this something I can easily repair myself or do you think I should take it back to the dealer. dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145084 Share Posted October 18, 2009 "A chicken walks into a library and straight up to the librarian. The chicken says "book, book" so the librarian humors the chicken and gives him a book. Off goes the chicken out the door.Next day the same thing happens. And the third day too. Getting a little curious, the librarian follows the chicken on the fourth day, all across town to a swampy lake. At the lake he sees the chicken drops the book in front of a frog, who promptly says"Redit, redit" Link to post
dipper6 Posted October 18, 2009 Author ID:145085 Share Posted October 18, 2009 UNSPOKEN PARKING LOT RULES. . . .--------------------------------------------------Rule No. 1: When waiting for a parking spot, stop in the middle of the road, don't signal, and orient your car diagonally to prevent others from passing.Rule No. 2: Always park on the lines, taking up as many spots as possible. Diagonal parking is preferred.Rule No. 3: In a crowded parking lot, if you find a spot and have the opportunity to pull through to an adjacent one, drive up halfway and stop on the line, taking both.Rule No. 4: As you pull into a spot, if you see that the space ahead of you is empty and you see another driver signalling to take it, pull though and take it from him.Rule No. 5: Always park close enough to the adjacent car so that the other driver must grease up with Vaseline to squeeze into his or her car.Rule No. 6: When getting out of your car, hit the adjacent vehicle with your door really hard.Rule No. 7: When driving through the parking lot, ignore the painted lanes and drive diagonally from one end to another at a high rate of speed.Rule No. 8: When stopped in front of a store and waiting for a friend/relative to make a purchase, make sure that you are stopped in the middle of the road. The same rule applies to picking up and discharging passengers.Rule No. 9: When a vehicle from the opposite direction is signalling and waiting for a parking space, position your car so that you are in his way and let the car behind you take it.Rule No. 10: If you have handicapped license plates, use up a regular parking spot.Rule No. 11: If you hit the adjacent car with your door and leave a dent, wait for a car, which is painted the same colour as yours, to drive down the aisle looking for a place to park. Then back out, giving up your spot like "Mr. Good Guy," and park somewhere else.Rule No. 12: If the vehicle in front of you stops to let a pedestrian cross or another vehicle turn, pull into the lane of opposite traffic and attempt to pass him.Rule No. 13: When exiting a shopping centre into a busy road, exit through the narrow "ENTER ONLY" driveway, stick the nose of the car into traffic, and wait.Rule No. 14: When driving through a parking lot with alternating one-way aisles and angled parking spots, drive the wrong way. Then when you see a parking space, take 20 minutes to do a 12-point turn to pull into it.Rule No. 15: Always leave your shopping cart behind or tightly between parked vehicles.Rule No. 16: Empty your ashtrays on the ground in shopping centre parking lots. While you're at it, dump out all the garbage, too, including that Wendy's or McDonald's bag sitting in the back seat from breakfast.Rule No. 17: If you are forced to change an infant's diaper in a parking lot, leave the soiled diaper under the car next to you.Rule No. 18: When another vehicle is waiting for you to pull out of a spot in a crowded parking lot, take your time. Adjust the mirrors, your seat, and the radio. Roll down your window, light a cigarette, and eat your lunch. Feel free to go through your shopping bags and look at what you just bought.Rule No. 19: When pulling into a parking spot, if there is a shopping cart in the way, lightly tap it with your bumper and send it rolling into another car. Then, when you step out, if the cart is still too close, push it down the parking lot aisle and let it go. While the cart is flying solo, turn around and walk toward the stores.Rule No. 20: When walking back to your car in a busy shopping centre, gesture to other drivers waiting for a spot to make them think that you are getting in the car and leaving. Then walk between the cars to the next aisle and do it again.Rule No. 21: When shopping at the mall, which requires you to load your bags into the car and go back in to do more shopping, do NOT tell the driver who is sitting patiently watching you load your car and signalling for your spot.Rule No. 22: When walking back to your car, if you notice other shoppers walking past your car to get to theirs, press the buttons on your key chain remote so that your car's alarm makes a sudden loud "BLOOP BLEEP" that scares the crap out of them.Rule No. 23: If you don't see a speed limit sign posted in the mall's parking lot, there isn't any!Rule No. 24: If you back into a parked car, and the driver isn't with it, take out a piece of paper and start writing. This is especially effective if there are 15-20 witnesses. On a piece of paper write, "There were ___ witnesses when I hit your car. They think I'm writing my name, address, and phone number."
