How to Remove Safari (Yahoo Search) Redirect Virus

It would appear my macOS has been infected with a Safari Redirect (Yahoo Search) file/application (?) which Malwarebytes is not detecting. Every once and awhile, a Yahoo.com search page will pop up in my Safari Browser. Anyone have any comments/recommendations/suggestions how I can find this file/app and removed it from my OS?  I have looked around in the more obvious OS areas (including Safari and User Files). I am using macOS 12.0.1 with Safari v.15.1 (17612.2.9.1.20). Thank you

Thank you for the information. I had found and reviewed the information provide. I went through the steps, again and I'll have to wait to see if the culprit has been removed. Thanks again from your promt response. Happy Holidays
