Olivia123 Posted November 24, 2021 ID:1489692 Share Posted November 24, 2021 I'm an administrator for the site https://www.olivia123.com and a user recently reported that the site generated an API abuse message while interacting with our site. I can't duplicate the problem (I'm running Malwarebytes browser guard as well), but is there anything we can do on our end to clear this, or any information on what may be causing the issue? Thanks in advance! Link to post
Solution gonzo Posted November 24, 2021 Solution ID:1489775 Share Posted November 24, 2021 The site has been whitelisted. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Sorry for the inconvenience. The block was caused by excessive usage of alerts and/or notifications, a common behavior of tech support scams. Those websites have a tendency to paint messages and warnings which erroneously state that you have malware (or similar) in order to make you click a link, make a phone call or buy a product. All of those are designed to get you to part with your money. We cannot determine intentional misuse, so we block once the activity crosses a threshold. Link to post
