Our site is flagged, but only by Malwarebytes -waybackmachinedownloader.com

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am the owner of this little software tool: waybackmachinedownloader.com

One of our customer said he can't visit our site, because of Malware preventing him from doing so, because of an alleged "phising" attempt.

I can't find out what the offending URL is. Can you shine some light on this?

If I had to guess, then it is probably caused by some free demo user. We then temporarily host frontend files from a site recovered from the Internet Archive.

I still want to block that domain for the future though, so I'd like to know what the offending URL was/is. Then this won't happen again. Of course it was never a real phishing attempt - because it's just some frontend files - but I can see how an automatic scanner would flag such a URL.

Obviously, if it's a false positive, then I'd really appreciate it if you could remove the blockade.

Kind regards, Milo

Hello, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We've reviewed the site again and have determined it no longer warrants being blocked so we've disabled the block in our database.

Removal should be reflected in the next database update going out in a few hours or so.
