SandiK Posted October 28, 2021 ID:1485981 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Can someone tell me which routers are compatible with the Malwarebyes VPN? I've tried other VPNs only to find they weren't compatible with my router. Thanks. Link to post

SandiK Posted October 28, 2021 Author ID:1485983 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Interesting. I purchased NordVPN and when it didn't work on my laptop I contacted them. They told me it wasn't compatible with the router I use for my wireless connection. Link to post

Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted October 28, 2021 Root Admin ID:1485997 Share Posted October 28, 2021 https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c50/ Don't see anything special about it that would cause VPN software to not support it. Can we get some logs from your computer to see if there is something else of possible concern. Do you have other computers in the home that use the same router? To begin, please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your installation for troubleshooting: NOTE: The tools and the information obtained are safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system. Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation Run the MBST Support Tool In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply Thank you Link to post

SandiK Posted October 28, 2021 Author ID:1486023 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Ops, sorry I missed the questions. There are 2 other laptops that use the same router but I only had the VPN on mine. I deleted everything regarding the NordVPN so not sure there would be any logs. Didn't see any reason to keep it considering that the people at Nord Security told me their VPN wasn't compatible with my router. It was only compatible with a couple of routers and I didn't want to buy another router as I have a new one I haven't hooked up yet. Link to post

SandiK Posted October 29, 2021 Author ID:1486146 Share Posted October 29, 2021 No, I installed the VPN on my laptop but my router prevented it from working. It has been a couple of years so I don't remember all the details. Link to post
