Windows server 2016 and RDP

I have a dedicated server with s.o. Window Server 2016, and I connect remotely through the rdp on the fixed ip assigned to the machine.
My question is: if I install the VPN and, therefore, the ip changes, can I connect with the RDP by connecting to the initial ip or do I have to adapt to the ip assigned by the vpn software every time?

The VPN is for individual computer use not server use.

if I understand correctly, can't I install this software on a server? Or no vpn in general?

Malwarebytes VPN is not for server use. Other VPN's you would have to check with the other makers.
