I broke the habit of a lifetime and clicked on this link (from a trusted Facebook Messenger source).  Took me to an App for a 3 day free trial of VPN protection or something like that. Still thinking this was required to watch the video she had supposedly sent me, I downloaded the App. 
I immediately deleted the App and turned off ‘auto-renew’, but I’m worried this may be something more sinister.

Thanks for the quick reply - much appreciated. 
Although no payment was due, I had to double click (iPhone 11) to confirm installation of the App. Was worried that this might have somehow given them access to my Amazon account, which has a ‘quick pay’ facility. 
I suppose it could have been a simple device to get me to subscribe to their free trial, in the hope I would auto renew @$6.99 a month?
