AFD Posted October 6, 2021 ID:1482924 Share Posted October 6, 2021 Cusomers report MalwareBytes is blocking our custoemr portal at https://web.alpinefoods.com/weborder/nxlogin.pgm?. When testing this I saw a MalwareBytes mesage saying the site is considered unsafe. Selecting the Continue anyway option didn't work until I reloaded the page. Since then, no more reports. This has happened once previously a few weeks ago. Pleae check why this site is being blocked. Link to post

AFD Posted October 6, 2021 Author ID:1482935 Share Posted October 6, 2021 If this re-occurs, I will try to get a screenshot. The screen included the wording "Website blocked due to alertLoop". Link to post

Solution gonzo Posted October 6, 2021 Solution ID:1482946 Share Posted October 6, 2021 alertLoop and notificationLoop blocks are both due to (1) the website code being extremely enthusiastic about talking to the user (alerts/warnings/notifications), or (2) the user deciding that if he keeps doing what didn't work before often enough, maybe it will work. You can't control the user, but if you can slow down extra dialog to the user, that would prevent the block from occurring. I have whitelisted the site. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Link to post
AFD Posted October 6, 2021 Author ID:1482951 Share Posted October 6, 2021 Thak you! I assume the second cause is related to multiple attempts to login despite being told the user name/pw are incorrect? Link to post
gonzo Posted October 6, 2021 ID:1482957 Share Posted October 6, 2021 That would be a common scenario, yes. Any time there is validation of user-supplied input, they may find a way of doing it wrong. Link to post
