As of today the program WinWeelay reports as a Ransom.FileCryptor. I can confirm that it does nothing of the sort as I am the author of the program. The only thing close to encrypting anything is it encrypts the user's password using Microsoft's Protected Data (DPAPI) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.security.cryptography.protecteddata?view=net-5.0

WinWeelay is also open source. The source code can be found here: https://github.com/Heufneutje/WinWeelay
