Potential threat from a file from Behringer's X Air app for the XR18 Mixer

Hey guys!  Malwarebytes has informed me that it detected a .exe file that may be a potential vulnerability (or hopefully just a false positive).  I have quarantined the file, but I need assistance as to what to do next.

Please post back the actual text log file for this.

 

You can find Scan and Protection logs within the Malwarebytes 4 program in the following location

 

 

RTP stands for Real-Time Protection and is where automatic protection operations would normally be logged

 

 

If you click on the View option you should get something similar to the following with other options available.

I'll move this topic to the FP forum. Can you please go ahead and restore the file. Then zip it up and attach it. Someone from the Research Team will review and verify

How do I zip a file like that and also what's the FP forum stand for?

Hi,

Do you have "Use expert system algorithms to identify malicious files" enabled? It is located in Settings > Security> Scan option.

This is normally disabled by default.

Please turn off "Use expert system algorithms to identify malicious files” It is located in Settings > Security> Scan option to avoid these detection's

In either way, Staff will investigate this and get this fixed.
