rets44 Posted August 24, 2021 ID:1476620 Share Posted August 24, 2021 Hi, I wanted to download some new drivers from powerspec.com today for my G507 Powerspec computer. Powerspec a computer manufacturer that is owned by Micro Center. So I found it weird that the browser guard didn't want me updating my drivers... I've been having audio issues on my pc and would like to fix them. I decided to ignore the warning message and go ahead with the download anyway. Micro Center, of course, links straight to the site for driver downloads and such. Link to post
Porthos Posted August 24, 2021 ID:1476623 Share Posted August 24, 2021 (edited) It was suspicious due to the fact the site uses HTTP and Not HTTPS ont the file server. Staff can assist with this for future users. Edited August 24, 2021 by Porthos 1 Link to post
rets44 Posted August 24, 2021 Author ID:1476625 Share Posted August 24, 2021 Thanks for the response! Yes, I noticed it said "not secure" next to the URL, which was weird. Ultimately I went ahead with the download anyway. I will email the site's technical support and tell them this- not sure how they could have missed it. Link to post
Solution gonzo Posted August 25, 2021 Solution ID:1476767 Share Posted August 25, 2021 The site has been whitelisted. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Sorry for the inconvenience. Also, thank you for emailing them. Hopefully, they will move firmly into the new millennium. Link to post
