XBarbarian Posted August 20, 2021 ID:1475919 Share Posted August 20, 2021 Good morning, MB Privacy suggested an update, yesterday 8/19, as it has periodically, since I began using it in jan 2021. Each previous update has been without issue. Yesterday's update, now returns this error, when i try to initiate the VPN: "Please try restarting your computer. If the issue persists, contact support Error code MB404104" I have successfully uninstalled both the client and the VPN tunnel driver, rebooted, and reinstalled. the error persists. Link to post

blowfish330 Posted September 3, 2021 ID:1478344 Share Posted September 3, 2021 Ok, I had the same issue just after I had updated Windows 10 to the 9/1 update (KB5005101). I uninstalled the W10 update and everything is peachy again. I think it must be a Microsoft issue. Will update if I find out anything else. 🙂 Link to post
Staff gatortail Posted September 7, 2021 Staff ID:1478679 Share Posted September 7, 2021 Yes, there is a known issue with KB5005101 breaking WireGuard. It must be uninstalled if it's been applied until Microsoft provides a fix. Link to post
Staff Solution gatortail Posted September 16, 2021 Staff Solution ID:1480152 Share Posted September 16, 2021 Privacy v3.6 is pushing out now and hopefully has a fix for the KB5005101 issue noted above. Link to post

Raph81 Posted November 11, 2022 ID:1541495 Share Posted November 11, 2022 Sorry, I let that drop after various updates seemed to resolve. I strongly suspect that a recent Samsung Android security update seems to be part of the problem. I am submitting a recent diagnostic log in reference to an opened trouble ticket regarding this issue. Thank you. Link to post

Great, Keep working with them. In the future, There is a separate section for Windows and Android. Always start a new topic instead of adding to a old one. Link to post
