Syluxdotcom Posted August 13, 2021 Author ID:1474521 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Ah, in that case it's an issue. The computer in question is a laptop so portability is integral.
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted August 13, 2021 Root Admin ID:1474523 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Do you have an imaged backup of the system to an external USB drive? Syluxdotcom Posted August 13, 2021 Author ID:1474527 Share Posted August 13, 2021 (edited) Not one of the system no, just important files. I could always do a re-install of Windows if that works? My main obstacle with backing up is that I have no external hard drives large enough to fit everything on them. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted August 13, 2021 Root Admin ID:1474528 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Using Macrium Reflect you can create an image of your entire system as it is now. Then if something went wrong you could restore it exactly as it is now within ten minutes or so probably. Having a good, fresh, clean install of Windows 10 is a great thing but not sure that would fix the issue or not, it might or might not. Syluxdotcom Posted August 20, 2021 Author ID:1475932 Share Posted August 20, 2021 Sorry it's been a while, had a busy week. On a positive note, Malwarebytes is now connecting over wifi. I've no idea what changed but I noticed that I could check my account without MB saying it couldn't connect to servers, so I ran an update check and it updated to 4.4.5. Maybe I did something too soon or didn't properly restart/shut down the computer, so it took longer to apply fixes? I don't know if you want to run another scan or if I'm good to go, regardless thanks again for the help!
