Make sure you have a new System Restore Point created and a backup of your system.

Then go ahead and install Malwarebytes and Privacy

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well.

Thank you

Okay, I hope you didn't pay much to get work done on the computer. These logs show that the computer did not have Windows 10 freshly installed.

In fact the last big update was done on June 5, 2021

Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 19043.1165 (X64) (2021-06-05 17:21:22)

So, that's why you're still having issues. The computer needs cleaning up still. Not sure exactly what this other person or company really did for you at this point.

Here is the reason why Malwarebytes won't install and run.

Error: (08/13/2021 01:07:22 PM) (Source: Service Control Manager) (EventID: 7000) (User: )
Description: The MBAMService service failed to start due to the following error:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

Please update me on how you would like to proceed. What did this other person or company actually do to your computer?

Thanks @Beckerino
