Number of files scanned changes?

Hi, first time poster.

Just wondering if there is any reason why my Malwarebytes for Android was scanning over 650 files one day and then 360 files the next day, and the change was overnight without me deleting/moving any files?

Is it possible that someone malicious is remotely removing files on my phone or?

Thank you for the quick reply. I guess my last question is does Malwarebytes cache at specific times as I had scanned twice and it scanned over 650 files both times, then overnight it went down?
