BSOD / Windows 10 / example

Recommended Posts

Starting somewhere in the fall of 2020, I started experiencing BSODs when MalwareBytes was active.  I eventually narrowed it down to the Web Protection module -- when that was enabled, and a browser was open to a site, I would see a BSOD, sometimes within minutes, generally within an hour.  I have intermittent tried the following (a) disabling Web Protection and running for a few months, then re-enabling (after a version change) and trying again, (b) uninstalling and re-installing MB, (c) running Driver Verifier ... which lead to my system refusing to boot (likely I made some mistake in that process!) ... and (d) wiping my machine and re-installing Windows 10 from scratch.  No change in behavior:  BSODs continue

I attach a SysnativefileCollectionApp archive

What else could I do to help identify root cause?

SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip

AVG Internet Security

Please refer to this support article which lists several known applications which conflict with the Web Protection in Malwarebytes currently, which includes AVG Internet Security

I also suggest turning off fast startup in Windows. Then restart.
