I keep getting a notification that the 'Recycle Bin on C:\ is corrupted.'

Hello @jnottingham

Please empty the Recycle Bin

Then run a new Disk Check

From an elevated admin command prompt type in the following, or copy/paste into the command prompt window

 

 ECHO Y|CHKDSK C: /F

 

Then restart the computer and do not touch any keys. Let the disk check run and it should correct the issue.

The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process.  Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)
This volume will be checked the next time the system restarts.
 

 

This is what it says. How do I respond Yes.  I put a Y and it said wrong command...
