optipng.exe detected as malware

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm the founder and developer of the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin for WordPress, and one of our users just found that Malware Bytes is incorrectly flagging one of our optimization tools as malware:

https://github.com/nosilver4u/ewww-image-optimizer/blob/master/binaries/optipng.exe

Additionally, if you could make sure all our binaries are "whitelisted", we would greatly appreciate it: https://github.com/nosilver4u/ewww-image-optimizer/tree/master/binaries

Here's what they provided (attached). Seems the dates are from last month, so perhaps something was already improved that fixed the issue?

I'll have them re-scan and see what happens.
