AaronBewza Posted May 24, 2021 ID:1459123 Share Posted May 24, 2021 XP_Shutdown.exe, XP_Settings.exe and XP_Logoff.exe These three programs I made are in a ZIP folder (XP_Shutdown.zip) available here: http://weedtrek.ca/XPshutdown.html and have been labelled harmful by Malwarebytes. I don't run this program it was reported to me by a malwarebytes user. I'm not sure if the site itself has been blacklisted, but that would also be an error. Please fix this unfortunate situation please :) attached is the ZIP folder in its entirely (2mb), including the three EXE files in question, thanks very much Aaron Bewza XP_Shutdown.zip Link to post
AaronBewza Posted May 24, 2021 Author ID:1459125 Share Posted May 24, 2021 Sorry, I meant to say "I don't run malwarebytes, but it was reported to me by a malwarebytes user". I totally use my own program lol didn't mean to imply I didn't :) Link to post
Porthos Posted May 24, 2021 ID:1459129 Share Posted May 24, 2021 (edited) The actual site and software are not detected. The download is blocked by browser guard because it does not use HTTPS. http://weedtrek.ca/software/XP_Shutdown.zip @gonzo can assist. Edited May 24, 2021 by Porthos Link to post
AaronBewza Posted May 24, 2021 Author ID:1459135 Share Posted May 24, 2021 I understand, thanks Porthos for the info :) I don't use HTTPS because there is nothing at my site which involves personal information of any kind and nothing is asked of the user. I think it's borderline coercion when an internet security company tries to corner people into paying for a totally unnecessary security feature. Link to post
Solution gonzo Posted May 24, 2021 Solution ID:1459139 Share Posted May 24, 2021 The site has been whitelisted. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Sorry for the inconvenience. You should also know that the download link is blacklisted by McAfee. Anyone using their AV product may receive a block that is beyond our capability to whitelist. Link to post
