I had the problem with 4.3.3 and 4.4.0 with W10 21H1.

My Windows version -> Edition Windows 10 Pro, Version  21H1, OS build 19043.985  Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3740.0

I back to free version and my problems stop.

I have just installed 21h1 and have no issues. We need to see what is up with your system.

To begin, please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your installation for troubleshooting:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
  • A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Thanks

Hello @ec2lrg

Please run the MBST tool and on the Advanced tab click on CLEAN and allow it to remove Malwarebytes. But DO NOT allow it to reinstall just yet.

After it removes Malwarebytes please restart the computer if it does not do it on it's own.

Then run the MBST tool again and click Advanced again and click Gather Logs and post back the new logs

Thank you

The logs show that you did not use the CLEAN removal. Please remove Malwarebytes but do not reinstall it

Can you please do the following?

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool if you don't already have it
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click the CLEAN button and follow the onscreen instructions but DO NOT reinstall Malwarebytes
  • NOTE: Please have patience as it can take a while to remove. If the program does not restart the computer then please do so on your own.

After the restart please do the following

  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
  • A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Thank you

Did you plug in a USB drive that may have resulted in this Event Log error?

  • Error: (05/16/2021 10:45:57 PM) (Source: Ntfs) (User: NT AUTHORITY)
  • Description: A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume H:.

The exact nature of the corruption is unknown.  The file system structures need to be scanned online.

I don't see a volume H: listed in your main logs, why I ask if it was maybe a USB disk?

Please open the Windows Security Center and check for updates for Windows Defender and do a Quick Scan. Let me know if it finds anything or if there are any issues updating.

Thank you

So I'm assuming that your browsers now work okay and no slow down loading them or running them?

Please go ahead and reinstall Malwarebytes and activate it. Then check for updates

Then restart the computer.

Then open Malwarebytes and go to Settings and enable Beta and then check for updates again.

Then restart the computer one more time and let us know if you're still experiencing an issue.

No, the problem persists.

Crack the audio, system don´t respond etc, network stop and ...

Same symptoms the upgrade W10 v2004.

I disable the licensed in MalwareBytes and the system back to normal.

*** I removed Malwarebytes Guard first.

I transform to version Free and the problem stop.

Then you have something else going on that has nothing to do with this beta

I will move your topic to the malware removal forum where we can do some scans and tests to see what might be going on.

Thanks

Please open Malwarebytes and run a Threat Scan and post back the log

Then run the following scan from Microsoft

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free Microsoft stand-alone virus scanner that can be used to scan for & remove malware or potentially unwanted software from a system.

The download links & the how-to-run-the tool are at this link at Microsoft

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/intelligence/safety-scanner-download

Please let me know the results of this scan.

The log is named MSERT.log

the log will be at  %SYSTEMROOT%\debug\msert.log   which in most cases is

C:\Windows\debug\msert.log

Please attach that log with your next reply.

Thank you @ec2lrg

Okay, let's get one more 3rd party scan and then we'll look at other possible issues

Let me have you run a different scanner to double-check. I don't expect it to find anything, but no harm in checking.

I would suggest a free scan with the ESET Online Scanner

Go to https://download.eset.com/com/eset/tools/online_scanner/latest/esetonlinescanner.exe

  • It will start a download of "esetonlinescanner.exe"
  • Save the file to your system, such as the Downloads folder, or else to the Desktop.
  • Go to the saved file, and double click it to get it started.
  • When presented with the initial ESET options, click on "Computer Scan".
  • Next, when prompted by Windows, allow it to start by clicking Yes
  • When prompted for scan type, Click on Full scan
  • Look at & tick  ( select )   the radio selection "Enable ESET to detect and quarantine potentially unwanted applications"   and click on the Start scan button.
  • Have patience.  The entire process may take an hour or more. There is an initial update download.
  • There is a progress window display.
  • You should ignore all prompts to get the ESET antivirus software program.   ( e.g. their standard program).   You do not need to buy or get or install anything else.
  • When the scan is completed, if something was found, it will show a screen with the number of detected items.  If so, click the button marked “View detected results”.
  • Click The blue “Save scan log” to save the log.
  • If something was removed and you know it is a false finding, you may click on the blue ”Restore cleaned files”  ( in blue, at the bottom).
  • Press Continue when all done.  You should click to off the offer for “periodic scanning”.

Note: If you do need to do a File Restore from ESET please follow the directions below

[KB2915] Restore files quarantined by the ESET Online Scanner version 3
