Security Tools Virus - this virus has overtaken my laptop - I have lost my desktop and cant use any applications at the moment. I have managed to start my laptop in safe mode and download Malwarebytes but it only gives me the option to purchase the software is this correct - I did a scan with AVAST and it picked up no viruses !!!! No, if you were asked to pay then it's not our program and is another FAKE program. Please follow the directions below and as soon as someone can they will assist you with this. Try to be patient as it can take a couple of days possibly.

Thanks for that I am in safe mode and my laptop screen setting are all skewiff, the only icon I can see after moving the dialog box left right up and down is purchase now, I have downloaded the MBAM.exe file from this website

We don't have a link to MBAM.EXE here. So as said, where you got it I'm not sure but you were redirected and did not download ours.

You need to just be patient and someone will assist you in the other forum when they can. Making multiple posts all over the board will not help you any faster is just slows the process down as we attend to these posts instead of HJT posts.
