Heuristic FP

I have just began getting this error.  The false positive is in the install file AND the installed "uninstall" file.  The error occurs in all current version of gVIM, back to gVIM 8.0 before the detection stops.

Please do the following

• Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
• In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
• In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
• Run the MBST Support Tool
• In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
• In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
• A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Hi,

We just need the detection log where the detection is displayed and the sample that is being detected.

Alternatively, 

Do you have "Use expert system algorithms to identify malicious files" enabled? It is located in Settings > Security> Scan option.

This is normally disabled by default, as this is a more aggressive machinelearning engine where False Positives might happen occasionally.

You can find Scan and Protection logs within the Malwarebytes 4 program in the following location

 

 

RTP stands for Real-Time Protection and is where automatic protection operations would normally be logged

 

 

If you click on the View option you should get something similar to the following with other options available.
