"Sliding" pop-up -- MB doesn't remove

Recommended Posts

I'm having trouble with a pop-up that Malwarebytes won't remove. It randomly slides onto the screen from the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Any way to get rid of this bug? It changes colors; last one had a skull and crossbones.

It sounds like an issue with the push notifications feature in Chromium based browsers (which includes MS Edge).  Please see if the instructions in this Malwarebytes Labs article help or not.

Please let us know how it goes and if the issue still persists.

Thanks

OK thanks. I blocked all of the permissions except one that says it's embedded in Gmail. Presumably that one's OK? In blocking the ones that were active there were around 24 items that had to be changed to "block."

I would have clicked on the three dots on each of them and chose delete and blocked any from added on the future. The toggle in my screenshot. Mant sites use that function to make you think you are infected like you have experienced.
