Hieracon Posted April 7, 2021 ID:1449844 Share Posted April 7, 2021 Hello, Recently there has been a problem with my PC where I am unable to open my task manager. When I try to open it, it pops up for a millisecond and closes. I am not sure what started this issue. I believe it's malware, but I have ran the Malwarebytes scan, the Mcafee Stinger scan, and the Windows Virus scan. All 3 say that there is nothing detected on my computer. I have also tried the sfc /scannow using the command prompt. At this point I am at a loss. If you guys could help me that would be amazing. I've been trying to figure this out for days. I have attached the FRST, Additions, and Malwarebytes Threat Scan logs to this post. Also, I noticed this person was having the same issue and was able to get it resolved, however I am unable to follow the same process since I can't open the attachments in that thread. Solution kevinf80 Posted April 8, 2021 Solution ID:1449991 Share Posted April 8, 2021 Hello Hieracon and welcome to Malwarebytes, Continue: Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop or location where you ran FRST from.NOTE. If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart. The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or wherever you ran FRST from. Hieracon Posted April 8, 2021 Author ID:1450133 Share Posted April 8, 2021 The fixlog fixed the issue! Thank you so much! I went ahead and completed the rest of the steps you gave me in your reply as well. I will post the attachments and leave a donation. Thanks again! The malwarebytes scan did not detect anything, so I believe no log was generated for the scan I just performed.
