McOwnage Posted March 17, 2021 ID:1445249 Share Posted March 17, 2021 Just wondering what is the point of an Allow List if Malwarebytes does not adhere to it? I have the following in my Allow List WITH Exclude from all detections checked Folders C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim File C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim\valheim.exe Why is Malwarebytes blocking a lot of IPs when I have it set to Excluded from ALL detections? Included in this HUGH list of blocked addresses are 2 of my friends and my own IP. I love Malwarebytes, but this is really pissing me off.

exile360 Posted March 17, 2021 ID:1445265 Share Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) Greetings, To exclude a process from Web Protection so that connections to/from the process are not blocked should the process attempt to connect to any sites or servers contained in Malwarebytes' Web Protection block lists, you must create a specific type of exclusion as indicated in the Allow an application to connect to the Internet section of this support article. Once that is done the connections should no longer be blocked. To do so, begin by navigating to the Allow List tab and selecting Add as you did for the previous exclusions, but this time click on Allow an application to connect to the internet instead of any of the other options, then browse to the location of the process generating the blocks in Malwarebytes and add it to the Allow List. I hope this helps, and if you require any further assistance please follow the instructions from AdvancedSetup above to post diagnostic logs for analysis and troubleshooting. Thanks Edited March 17, 2021 by exile360
