WilliamWW Posted March 11, 2021 ID:1444032 Share Posted March 11, 2021 Hello, my name is William and i've had some issues with my pc lately, files missing and so on. So i went and installed Malwarebytes which successfully caught the malwares, and quarantined them. But it doesn't take long, after around 5 minutes or so, they are all back, around 18-20 malwares are back causing havoc in my system. And i am unsure on how to handle this. The ¨baddies¨ are: Adware.Elex, PUP.Optional.Conduit, PUP.Optional.Linkury and PUP.Optional I added a typical scan report from my last scan Scan report.txt Any help would gladly be appreciated. WilliamWW Posted March 11, 2021 Author ID:1444047 Share Posted March 11, 2021 Thank you for the quick reply, i went ahead and followed the instructions, turned sync off and cleared the data. Without turning sync on again i went and did a scan, rebooted the pc, came back and did another scan, this time only 6 malwares popt up: Scan report after sync off and data clean.txt So i quarantined them, rebooted the pc again, came back and boom, they're all back again Scan report after sync off and data clean 2.0.txt The sync on the google account has remained turned off throughout this. Would reinstalling google chrome help perhaps?
