Hi!

I need help with Malwarebytes privacy. I bought Malwarebytes + VPN for 5 users. Without VPN I can normally use the Internet. When I click to connect on server I get the error:
"Could not connect. Please check your Internet connection and then try again.
My windows is Windows 7.
Malwarebytes protection function normally but VPN cant connect.

I tried to change type of connection (home/public) but I get the same results.
I tried disabled ICS (services - internet connection sharing - startup type : disabled) but the problem still exist.
I tried to reinstall Malwarebytes privacy but the results are the same.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Hello @Marijan

Can you please run the following for me and I'll check back with you sometime in the morning.

SecurityCheck by glax24

I would like you to run a tool named SecurityCheck to inquire about the current-security-update status of some applications.

  • Download SecurityCheck by glax24 from here  https://tools.safezone.cc/glax24/SecurityCheck/SecurityCheck.exe
  • and save the tool on the desktop.
  • If Windows's  SmartScreen block that with a message-window, then
  • Click on the MORE INFO spot and over-ride that and allow it to proceed.
  • This tool is safe.   Smartscreen is overly sensitive.
  • Right-click  with your mouse on the Securitycheck.exe  and select "Run as administrator"   and reply YES to allow to run & go forward
  • Wait for the scan to finish. It will open in a text file named SecurityType.txt. Close the file.  Attach it with your next reply.
  • You can find this file in a folder called SecurityCheck, C:\SecurityCheck\SecurityCheck.txt

Thanks

After you have updated the programs above and have restarted the computer please review the following topics to update your version of Windows 7 to the very latest available updates before the version was discontinued by Microsoft.

Please get me both new FRST logs

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well.

Thank you

You have the following error. This may be due to a missing USB driver.

Thanks @Marijan glad that worked out well.

Please open Malwarebytes. Click on the small gear icon on the top right.

Under the General tab scroll down until you see the Beta updates and enable that.
Then scroll back to the top of the General tab and click on the Check for updates button and the program should update.
After the update has completed please restart your computer.

After the restart please run Privacy again and see if it will connect now and let me know.

Thanks

When I disabled ICS and restarted the computer, nothing was changed. After restarting Windows, I saw "automatic" in DNS settings (IPv6 IPv4). After manually typed DNS server I was able to successfully connect to Malwarebytes privacy for the first time! When I set DNS to automatic again, I couldn't connect to Malwarebytes privacy.

I don't understand things about DNS so I have a question: My sister goes to a China (bussiness trip) where Google services are banned. What DNS server settings are needed to normally use VPN from China or should we tried something else?
