Hello @MKDB:

Yes, the fake anti-malware ByteFence is properly detected by MB4 per PUP.Optional.ByteFence.  When installed, ByteFence makes a serious, unwanted, and extensive infiltration into Microsoft Windows and user's applications yet perhaps an updated inclusion is just required in the next Malwarebytes AdwCleaner database.

Would you please consider following the procedure in the second post, by the Bot, and attach a fresh and helpful mbst-grab-results.zip file to your next reply to this topic?

Thank you.

Hi @1PW:

It is not possible to follow the procedure posted by the bot.

I've noticed this detection bug in a malware removal topic at TB. This topic is already closed.

Anyway, thanks for you answer.

Hello @MKDB:

Regardless of the status of a topic in another forum, it will likely be very helpful to have a current mbst-grab for analysis of its newer logs.

Please follow only steps 1 thru 8 of the Upload Malwarebytes Support Tool logs offline procedure and attach the resulting mbst-grab-results.zip archive file in your next reply to this topic for analysis.

Thank you.
