Several files are false positive in virustotal

Recommended Posts

We have these next crypted tests which are false positive again.

Our encryption tests are running nightly. Thats why i will report here in the same topic, if we still have false positive.

I think its not a good idea to open a new thread every time we have a false positive.

All the files in the Zip are false positives.

Thanks for your help.

at least 5 of these are false positive with malwarebytes.

The scan is here from few seconds:

when you click on the files, you see the results of each file.

Thanks for your time.

The problem with our encrypted files, its that they are always different .. Is there any way that we can find a solution for our encryption software?

Hi,

I only get a detection on the file IxpTestOope32.exe now (which wasn't the case previously). The others aren't detected anymore.

Our engine format and configuration in VirusTotal is different than our consumer and corporate products’ default configuration. In VirusTotal we use a command-line engine with different configuration and detection techniques/heuristics which might detect more than the commercial product. There are also false-positive suppression mechanisms in the commercial product which are not present in the command-line engine in VirusTotal.

This file has been whitelisted for our commercial products and it is not detected anymore.

Additional note, it's always good practice to digitally sign your files, as that would also prevent detections by other AVs.
