Conficker removal

Recommended Posts

Just to point up that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware still can not handle this little devil.

I am using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for about one year, scanning regularly.

For last month I was unable to access any of these sites:

microsoft.com

symantec.com

malwarebytes.org (including forum)

kaspersky.com

etc...

I was unable to update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware too.

After eliminating networking or modem problems, I came to conclusion it must be some kind of malware, and it's pretty hard to find solution if you don't have access to security sites.

Half an hour ago, after using conficker removal tool, everything is back to normal, I can normally access all this sites, and update normally.

Thank you.

Well about the only reason you should have Conflicker is if you did not have your Microsoft security updates installed. Microsoft patched this a long time ago and all the major Anti-Virus products also detect and remove it. So if you were having trouble removing it then I'd have to believe your system was not patched, and not running Anti-Virus software. MBAM is not an Anti-Virus replacement, it is an additional protection.
