CarloM Posted February 10, 2021 ID:1437869 Share Posted February 10, 2021 Hello I Ran the full scan on Malwarebytes, on a brand new install of Windows 10. Malwarebytes flagged Expand.exe. It's in the following folder C:\WINDOWS.OLD\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\EXPAND.EXE. I tried but could not remove this folder. This computer was accidentally given accessed to via TeamViewer to some scammer. I reformatted the drive and installed windows from an image on a USB thumb drive. Should I be concerned? Thank you.

The above folder is a folder left after a feature update in windows. It is not harmful and Malwarebytes is just seeing a file in a location it is not used to. If you do a disk clean it will be deleted.https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3012-open-use-disk-cleanup-windows-10-a.html
