MalwareBytes 4.7.9.3978 aborts shortly after scan

I've tried uninstall, reinstall, reboot, etc. and I get the "oops something went wrong" error shortly after running a scan on High Sierra Mac.

It gets a couple hundred files in and stops.  

Looking at /Library/Application Support/Malwarebytes/MBAM/LogsEx/RTProtectionDaemon.log, I get the following log, the last log being the one where scan aborts.

Please advise.
