Task Manager immediately closing after opening

Hey, I'm having the same exact problem as the person who started this thread. I haven't been able to open my task manager and my CPU's fans have been running under severe load even though I only have a couple of chrome tabs open. I have downloaded an alternate task manager to figure out what's causing my CPU to run fast and it turns out I have the same perpetrator as the person with the original problem. I first stumbled upon this problem around 3 days ago, which makes me assume that this new virus is a threat that has started to spread out recently, but that's only based on my presumptions. Anyways, I was wondering how I could permanently get rid of this application so I don't have to worry anymore. I saw that his solution was to delete it in Registry Editor, but I have no clue on how to find this specific application and delete it in RegEdit. Also, I wasn't able to quarantine it while scanning for this virus/bug with MalwareBytes and the default Windows Defender Scanner. So far, I've done a couple steps with restarting my computer, running sfc /scannow in command, the HTTP ONLINE thing, and a couple others. Any help regarding this issue would be appreciated.

 

(The issue I have is the same. I have seen processes such as mservicecpu.exe, xservicegpu.exe, and qtLaunch.exe, all presumably the perpetrators in this situation.

Also, a side note. Whenever I try to kill the process with my alternate Task Manager, Daphne, it automatically starts again. I wonder if I can permanently delete the app so I don't need to suffer anymore lol.

Hello kidseconomy and welcome to Malwarebytes, Please refrain from replying into another users thread, I`ve split you off into your own thread.. Run the following: Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop. Alternative download option: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/6731-farbar-recovery-scan-tool.html Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32 bit or 64 bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version. If your security alerts to FRST either, accept the alert or turn your security off to allow FRST to run. It is not malicious or infected in any way... Be aware FRST must be run from an account with Administrator status... Right click on FRST and rename FRSTEnglish   Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.(Windows 8/10 users will be prompted about Windows SmartScreen protection - click More information and Run.) Make sure Addition.txt is checkmarked under "Optional scans"   Press Scan button to run the tool.... It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply. The tool will also make a log named (Addition.txt) Please attach that log to your reply. Thank you, Kevin

while doing this, would it get rid of the virus/bug completely? I already stopped it from running, I was wondering if this would get rid of it.

FRST scan simply takes an overview of your system so we can see what is running, no changes are made during this scan...
