Password Changed and I did not do it!

Recommended Posts

I received an email from Accounts@malwarebytes.com that my request to change my password was successful. I did NOT request to have my password changed and now I can not log into my account. I had a premium membership - which never renewed. BUT I can't remember if my CC info is saved on Malwarebytes website. And of course the hacker has not successfully changed the email address to their address. Which I have.

Of course support is not around until MONDAY. Advise would be great!

Support are the only ones that can assist you with this issue.

Please contact our support team at https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new to get help.

Be aware it can take 5-7 weekdays to receive a response other then the automated ticket response.

Thanks. I'm changing ALL my passwords and have removed Malwarebytes from my computer. I am contacting my cc company as well.

Sounds like you have had some of your accounts phished. Have you fallen for any tech support scams lately? Allowed ANYONE to remote control your computer?

Do you use the same email and PASSWORD on all of your online accounts?

No I do not. But the email is a yahoo.com email.

I would suggest you check that account here and see if you have been compromised recently. https://haveibeenpwned.com/

You can also check your passwords and see if they have been breached as well. https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords
