Dear Support,

This post contains a request to further investigate our Social Media Bot application for any harmful software.

The reason for this request is because your Antivirus company has joined Virus Total and your Antivirus detects our application as harmful.

This damages our reputation and we would like to get in touch to resolve this together.

Below a documented brief explanation about our application.

Virus total report: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/4ce3d6bc90ad975e0ecb8bba0241f9779040173f42f6d2107332a71f618192eb/detection

About & Info:
1. Program Language: C# / Java
2. Executable Name: SocialMediaBot.exe
3. Executable Version: v4.0.0.0
4. Source website:  https://dimensionbots.com/socialmediabot.php

If you would like to authenticate on the application, you can use the following credentials: User: free | Key: free

Explanation of the code in the .exe file:
We are using the .exe as an updater and runner of our Java code, which is delivered together with the .exe. As Java code is quite difficult to obfuscate and protect from reverse engineering, we added some protection layers on top of it.

If you need any more information, feel free to contact us.

Best Regards

Our engine format and configuration in VirusTotal is different than our consumer and corporate products’ default configuration. In VirusTotal we use a command-line engine with different configuration and detection techniques/heuristics which might detect more than the commercial product. There are also false-positive suppression mechanisms in the commercial product which are not present in the command-line engine in VirusTotal.

This file has been whitelisted for our commercial products and it is not detected anymore.
