DroneBotWorkshop Posted January 11, 2021 ID:1431606 Share Posted January 11, 2021 Hello Four years ago I purchased dbot.ws to use with bit.ly as a "custom bitly link" for my website at https://dronebotworkshop.com. There is no website associated with dbot.ws, it is only used for link shortening. I use this to track links I place on my YouTube channel and on Twitter. Recently I received an email from one of my users who expressed concern about receiving the following message: ............................................................................................................................... Website blocked due to a suspicious top level domain (TLD) Website blocked: dbot.ws Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this page because it uses a suspicious top level domain (TLD). These are frequently used by scam or phishing sites, but can be used by legitimate websites as well. If you trust this website, please click CONTINUE TO SITE. Otherwise, choose GO BACK. We strongly recommend you do not continue. ............................................................................................................................... I have literally hundreds of shortened links using "dbot.ws" and they all point to either "dronebotworkshop.com" or to code files I make available for download on Amazon AWS. DroneBot Workshop is a website, forum and YouTube channel that provides tutorials on using electronics, microcontrollers, robotics and artificial intelligence. The site dronebotworkshop.com has a valid security certificate and contains no advertising and complies with GDPR and COPA. No illegal or pirated material has every appeared on my website, and it certainly is not a "scam" or "phishing" site. I am the sole operator of dronebotworkshop.com and it is literally my life's work, and it is extremely distressing to find that MalwareBytes is blocking the shortened link to this site that I have worked so hard to create. Changing these links from "dbot.ws" to "dronebotworkshop.com" would require literally hundreds of hours of work and would remove my ability to monitor the effectiveness of my link building.. Can you please remove the block on dbot.ws? If you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank You Link to post
