Privacy update problem.

Privacy update 2.4.0.464 is causing my HP Pavilion Laptop to go in restart mode everytime Privacy is turned "ON" by the user but not by the start of the computer if in automatic mode.

Can you please collect and upload as an attachment the diagnostic data using our MBST?

• Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
• Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
• Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

First I would remove any check marks on compatibility on the MBAM exe.

Next I would restart the computer.

I suggest turning off fast startup in Windows. Then restart again.

Once you get the above done,Please attach the following if too large to attach,

Please upload it to WeTransfer and select the option to send the file as a link from the options menu available by clicking on the circular ... button on the page and provide us with the link to the file

@R2D21962 How did you get v2.4?  This is not a valid version.  Did someone share a Beta privately with you?

I got it on my VPN window that opens when I select my desktop shortcut. There was a little red dot on the gear in the upper right corner and when I clicked on it it said there was an update so I installed it. This update never came for my Privacy on my desktop, just for my laptop. I have completely uninstalled Privacy on my laptop and would like to know how can I reinstall the 2.3 version. I reported the 2.4 problem to Malwarebytes and they sent me a couple of fix patches that did not work and were still working on the problem.

I removed 2.4 and reinstalled 2.3. Now just got an email from tech support, they want me to try another patch resolution. Should I trust it? I did check to see if there was any checkmarks in properties and there wasn't.

Yes, it is the new beta.

The new patch did not fix the problem. Awaiting their next solution. It's a good thing I never installed this on my desktop. Now to revert back to version 2.3.0.462.
Do you know what is the Privacy VPN Tunnel Driver?

Can you please try something for me:

• Go to Control Panel - Uninstall Programs
• Uninstall Malwarebytes Privacy.
• Uninstall Malwarebytes Privacy VPN Tunnel Driver
• Reboot once
• Download and install the latest beta build from: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mbprivacy-offline-beta-2.0
• After that please let us know if you still see the BSOD

So please uninstall the following 2 programs:

Basically Windows crashes too bad and gives you that blue screen you saw above and posted
