Cannot (re)install Malwarebytes

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm a premier member with licence key etc.

Windows 7 64 user.

Malwarebytes asked for installing updates. I agreed, but every-time it failed, with error message: an error occurred while downloading. Please check connection etc.

My connection is fine and started to think I have malware stopping updating malwarebytes - Ironic.

Uninstalled Malwarebytes and tried to reinstall it, and had same error message. Now I cannot even install it a fresh!

Tried to search this forum for ideas and saw that I should install mb-support-1.8.0.848 (1).exe

Tried to do that, but everytime it tries to install FRST64 - it fails. ''We were unable to launch successfully.''

I've installed Roguekiller and eset online scanner already and removed some stuff - didn't help.

Installed malwarebytes anti rootkit with latest update which found nothing.

mbst-grab-results.zip

So now I cannot install malwarebytes.

Since managed to get the following...

mbst-clean-results.txt

Please help?

Thanks

.

Please try using an alternate DNS server such as Google DNS as instructed in this article or OpenDNS as detailed in this article.

Then,

1. Download the offline installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb4_offline

2. Run the installer

Can you please let me  know if that worked ?

Wow. Yes Thanks that worked! One question? Do I do the same with IPV6? Not that I even have a clue what that is, only it is showing next to ipv4!

Thanks again...
